It seems that everything is getting the vampire treatment these days, and for a couple in Florida, their wedding was not immune to the trend.
Kelly Morningstar has seen plenty of traditional affairs in her time as an event planner, but for her wedding to fiance Sean Wilson, something a bit darker was in order. The couple tied the knot with a vampire-themed ceremony on Halloween night.
"It has just always been the one time of year when I can just have fun," the bride told Ocala.com. "I have never wanted to be a cookie-cutter bride."
And she certainly was not. Morningstar dressed in a deep purple gown and wore plastic fangs, walking down the aisle holding dark-colored roses.
Keeping with the non-traditional nature of the event, the couple exchanged vows at the Paddock Mall in Ocala.
Florida is a great location for any type of wedding, as there are many conventional venues to choose from, as well as alternative function spaces like Morningstar chose. Many people opt for beach weddings in Key West, Miami, Palm Beach and other areas of the state, but if you're looking for a venue off the beaten path, enlisting the help of an event planner could allow access to lesser known, but equally great, locations.
