San Diego is known for its nearly perfect weather and sunny skies, but the hub is also home to a facility that provides care to a wide variety of creatures at the San Diego Zoo.

Recently, the San Diego Zoo launched its "China Celebration" that is bringing a new giant panda and several additional exhibits to the venue, according to the Los Angeles Times. Many attractions will display animals that have never been featured at the zoo, such as Sichuan takins, Mangshan pit vipers and northern Chinese leopards.

After visiting the San Diego Zoo, don't forget to satisfy your love of animals from the SeaWorld theme park. This facility is home to a wide variety of undersea creatures and provides opportunities to interact with the animals who originate from the ocean.

The city is also home to the Maritime Museum of San Diego, which has artifacts from ships that have served in many of the country's trade operations and wars.

If that isn't enough, stop by the USS Midway Museum with your loved one to hop on board the longest-serving U.S. Navy aircraft carrier. The ship boasts a four-story deck and many attractions to help visitors relive the history of the vessel.
